Utility Accounts
Utility Accounts
Section titled “Utility Accounts”Utility accounts link a specific unit to a utility type. Each account has an account number, provider, and billing responsibility. Meter readings are recorded against these accounts.
Table features
Section titled “Table features”The utility accounts table gives you full control over how you view and manage all utility accounts.
Filtering
Section titled “Filtering”Filter utility accounts using any column with advanced filter options:
| Filter type | Description |
|---|---|
| Contains | Field contains the specified text |
| Not contains | Field does NOT contain the specified text |
| Is | Field exactly matches the specified value |
| Is not | Field does NOT match the specified value |
| Is empty | Field has no value |
| Is not empty | Field has a value |
How to filter: Click the filter icon then click Add filter button , select your filter type, and enter the value.
Filter examples:
- Unit contains “g-3”
- Utility type is “Electricity”
- Status is “Active”
- Billing type is “Prepaid”
Column customization
Section titled “Column customization”Click the View Settings button to customize your table:

Toggle columns available:

Pin columns
Section titled “Pin columns”Pin important columns to keep them at the table:
- Click the pin icon on any column
- Pinned column stay fixed while scrolling
- Click the pin icon again to unpin
Export
Section titled “Export”Export utility account data as CSV or Excel:
- Click Export button
- Select format: CSV or Excel
- Choose which columns to export (all or selected)
- Click Download

Create a new utility account
Section titled “Create a new utility account”Click the Add account button to create a new utility account.
Account form
Section titled “Account form”| Field | Required | Description |

| Unit | Yes | Select the unit associated with this utility account |
| Utility Type | Yes | Select the utility type for this account (Electricity, Water, Gas, etc.) |
| Account Number | No | e.g., 123-456-7890. The utility account number provided by the utility company |
| Provider Name | No | e.g., National Grid, Con Edison. The utility company providing the service |
| Billing Type | Yes | Select who is responsible for paying this utility bill (Prepaid / Postpaid) |
| Notes | No | Additional notes about this utility account (e.g., special billing arrangements, contact information) |
Billing type options
Section titled “Billing type options”| Billing type | Description | Responsibility |

| Prepaid | Tenant pays utility company directly | Tenant |
| Postpaid - Tenant | Tenant pays after consumption | Tenant |
| Postpaid - Landlord | Landlord pays and bills tenant | Landlord |
From the account overview, available actions include:

| Edit account | Update account number, provider, billing type, or notes |
| Delete account | Permanently remove (only if no readings or charges linked) |
| Record reading | Add a new meter reading for this account |
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| Active | Account is active and can receive readings |
| Inactive | Account is inactive and cannot receive new readings |
