Meter Readings

Meter readings allow you to track utility consumption for each unit. Use readings to calculate utility charges, monitor usage patterns, and generate accurate bills.

Meter readings table

The meter readings table gives you full control over how you view and manage all meter reading entries.

Filter meter readings using any column with advanced filter options:

Filter typeDescription
ContainsField contains the specified text
Not containsField does NOT contain the specified text
IsField exactly matches the specified value
Is notField does NOT match the specified value
Is emptyField has no value
Is not emptyField has a value

How to filter: Click the filter icon then click Add filter button , select your filter type, and enter the value.

Filter examples:

  • Utility contains “Water”
  • Reading is greater than 1000
  • Status is “Billed”
  • Reading date is this month

Click the View Settings button to customize your table:

Pin important columns to keep them at the table:

  1. Click the pin icon on any column
  2. Pinned column stay fixed while scrolling
  3. Click the pin icon again to unpin

Click the Refresh button to reload the latest meter reading data.

Export meter reading data as CSV or Excel:

  1. Click Export button
  2. Select format: CSV or Excel
  3. Choose which columns to export (all or selected)
  4. Click Download
Record reading

Click the Record reading button to add a new meter reading.

When a reading is recorded, the system automatically calculates consumption based on the previous reading:

Consumption calculation example:

  • Previous reading: 12450
  • Current reading: 12750
  • Consumption: 300 units
  • Rate: Ksh 50 per unit
  • Live charge: Ksh 15,000.00
Reading actions

For the reading available actions include:
